Meet on Monday evenings from 6 to 7.15pm

Because of the demand in the area & the lack of Colonies around we do have a waiting list in operation. So to avoid disappointment we recommend that you put your son's name on the list between the ages of 4 & 5 years.

Kingfisher Beaver Craft

The Colony are often doing many different types of crafts, some of the special makes are worked on over weeks and some are just for a single week.

Here are some of their master pieces that they made for Christmas in the form of a Christmas Cake, all the Beavers were involved in all stages of the preparing, making and decorating of their cakes.

These are mini cakes made in cleaned out half size tins. Well done Kingfishers.

 

Kingfisher’s Science Evening

The boys from kingfisher colony had great fun with science this week. There were 4 bases for the boys to try. Magnets, electricity, water and a very messy one!
We tested lots of objects to see which the magnets picked up. Then we tried to make different objects float in a bowl of water. On the electric base we had to complete a circuit and make the bulb light up using all sorts of things. We also found out about static electricity and balloons.
On the last base we had a bowl; of cornflour. It is a very strange substance, it looks like a liquid but you can pick up a slice of it ! We all got covered.
When we stopped for a drink Rabbit brought in biscuits as it was her birthday.
Before it was home time we played a new game called Hot Potato.
