Pond dipping with the Bracknell Forest Rangers |

Over the last month or so the Kestrel and Kingfisher Beavers and the Falcon Cubs have had a special treat courtesy of the Bracknell Forest Rangers.
An evening of pond dipping at the Lookout, being let loose with a net to see what they could find in one of the ponds there, having an expert and some sheets to help identify their catches made this really special.
The photo's below are of the Cubs visit and I know that the Beavers had as much fun as well, we had to drag them away otherwise they would have stayed all night.

After a short trek to the pond |
We were given a small talk from Marie-Anne |

They were initially amazed by the larger things they found ( newt ) |

Then after a bit of help from Marie-Anne they started to see the smaller insects as well |

We caught many different newts, different sizes and colours |
