BT Sleepover History / 2006 slide show / BT Sleepover Home / ChildLine / South Berks Scouts / Scout Association 2007 /

There are over 300 photo's from the Giant Sleepover 2007 to go through and sort out which will take some time, here is a goroup one to tide you over.

News from GSO HQ is that there is provisional 38,000 record, we will update you as soon as we know.

The 9th Bracknell Scout Group first joined in with the Giant Sleepover on the 2006 event, we had 23 Beavers, 30 Cubs, 9 Scouts, 2 Explorers and 17 Leaders / Helpers from the 9th Bracknell Scout Group to break two world records. A total of 62 eligible record breakers for the sleepover and 83 for the minty mouth challenge.

Our 2006 slide show story of what we got up to can still be seen by clicking HERE (broadband required). Please give the slide show time to load as there are rather a lot of photo's.

2007. This year we have invited the 2nd Easthampstead Scout Group to join us, between us we have got 39 Beavers, 2 Brownies, 50 Cubs, 11 Scouts, 3 Explorers and 22 adults / helpers / leaders which will break our own record in this very special year for Scouting with 102 eligible record breakers for the sleepover and 127 for the minty mouth challenge.

With 100 Beavers, Cubs and Scouts joining in makes this a very special event for the 9th Bracknell and 2nd Easthampstead Scout Groups as we are celebrating 100 years of Scouting in 2007, this is just one event where the number 100 is making it more special.

More news on the 2007 celebrations can be found on our District site at www.southberksscouts.org or on the national site at www.scouts.org.uk/2007
