Kingfisher Beaver Scouts

Camp Visit
The Beavers
arrived at 12 p.m. and our first job was to take them
on a guided tour of the whole site, and one sharp
eyed beaver found a pigeons egg on the ground. After
their packed lunch they followed a string trail while
the cubs were cooking on open fires. Several of them
missed Badger and were quite concerned that now she
was helping cubs she wouldn't be coming back to us
after camp. The afternoon was spent visiting all 6
bases set up for the cubs to do their athletes badge
and many out did the cubs in their fitness. Another
game followed by dinner (see photo) and then flag
break with the cubs before the parents arrived to
join in with our camp fire. Our scout leader Neil
led the singing and encouraged everyone to join in
which came as a shock to some of our newer parents.
The beavers left the site at 8.30 very tired but having
thoroughly enjoyed their taste of camp!

Dinner on Saturday was based on Italy
so of course we had pizza, (Apparently Squirrel cooks
better than most of the mums!)
Not everyone could keep up with the
actions

Even the adults joined in

Fee fi fiddle i dee (I think)
And the one about grey squirrel made
them all laugh.
Many thanks to Falcons for letting
us visit them and showing us what camp is all about And thanks to Neil the scout leader
for the lovely camp fire. I hope that they didn't sing
them for too long when they went home!
